Cedric Henderson (basketball, born 1975)

A 6'7" small forward, Henderson starred at the University of Memphis, and was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round (45th pick overall) of the 1997 NBA draft. He played four seasons (1997/98–2000/01) for the Cavaliers before being traded to the Golden State Warriors, with whom he played in 2001/02.

Before the 2002–03 NBA season he was signed as a free agent by the Milwaukee Bucks, but he was waived after one month.[1]

After he left the NBA, he went to play in the NBDL, France (Division 1), Lebanon (Bluestars), Cyprus and Ukraine.[1]

On May 28, 2008, a warrant was issued for Cedric Henderson for vandalism of his wife's uncle's house on April 15, 2008. According to the affidavit, he took apart the kitchen window and took his three children from the residence causing between $275 and $338 in damages. [2] In 2014, he was arrested again for failing to appear in court after a domestic violence dispute between him and his wife.[3]

After retiring, Henderson became the assistant coach and head coach of the men's basketball team at Southwest Tennessee Community College for the 2012–13 and 2018–19 season respectively.[4] On November 19, 2019, he was involved in an altercation with a player,, Demetrius Morrow, and, subsequently fired. After being fired from Southwest Tennessee Community College because of an altercation with a student,[5] he became the assistant coach of the men's basketball team at Christian Brothers University for only one season.[6] He, also, coached high school teams in Memphis. In 2012-13, he was the head coach at Wooddale High School. And in 2017-2018, he coached at Trezevant High School where the team had a 2-20 record.[7]As of October 25th 2021, Cedric was hired as the interim head coaching position at Collierville High School in Collierville TN after Scotty Robinson was fired for inappropriate interactions with a minor.[8]
