Cedric Scott

Cedric A. Scott (born October 19, 1977) is a former Canadian Football League defensive tackle for the Edmonton Eskimos and current assistant strength coach for Jacksonville Jaguars. He also played in the National Football League for the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns, as well as in NFL Europa for the Scottish Claymores. Scott played college football at the University of Southern Mississippi and was drafted in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.

Early life

Cedric Scott was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, was the fourth-round draft pick of the New York Giants in 2001 and played professionally with the New York Giants (2001) and subsequently Cleveland Browns before heading to the Canada Football League. He was inducted into the University of Southern Mississippi Hall of Fame for his achievements while playing for the Golden Eagles.[1]

Coaching career

Urban Meyer asked Scott to join his coaching staff with the Jacksonville Jaguars in January 2021.[2]
