Christine Drazan

Christine Drazan (born 1972) is an American politician from Oregon. A Republican, she was the minority leader of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2019 to 2021, and represents House District 39 in Clackamas County, Oregon. She was first elected in 2018.[1]

Early life and career

Prior to her election, Drazan served as executive director of the non-profit Cultural Advocacy Coalition.[2] In the 1990s, she worked as chief of staff to former Oregon House majority leader and Speaker of the House Mark Simmons.[3]

In September 2019, Oregon House Republicans selected the first-term Drazan to replace Carl Wilson as minority leader.[3] After making plans to run for Governor in 2022, she stepped down as minority leader in November 2021, and was replaced by Vikki Breese-Iverson.[4]

Personal life

Drazan lives in rural Clackamas County near Canby with her husband Dan and three children.[5]
