Constantine Evelyn Benson
Air Commodore Constantine Evelyn Benson CBE DSO (10 April 1895 – 20 September 1960)[1] was a British Royal Auxiliary Air Force officer. Benson was a captain in the Grenadier Guards during the First World War and was mentioned in despatches.[2]
Educated at Eton and Baliol College, Oxford.[1] Benson was born to Robin Benson and Evelyn Holford. He was a younger brother of Rex Benson. He married Lady Morvyth Lillian Ward, daughter of William Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley, on 29 June 1921.[3][4]
The National Portrait Gallery has a portrait of Benson in its collection.[5]
