Daniel Popa

Daniel Iliuță Popa (born 14 July 1994) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga I club Chindia Târgoviște. In summer of 2016, Popa sign with Dinamo București and score twice in his debut match against FC Voluntari in League cup. He scored again in same competition against Astra Giurgiu in next round and help the team to win the cup in that season. In summer of 2017, he was loaned to FC Botoșani and return în January next year by Vasile Miriuta.

Trivia

In 2018, Popa criticised Cosmin Contra, the manager of the Romanian football team for the omission of Dan Nistor for the national squad.[1]
