David Tavares
David José Gomes Oliveira Tavares (born 18 March 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Famalicão as a midfielder.

Club career
On 17 September 2019, Tavares debuted for Benfica's first team as a substitute in a 2–1 home loss to RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League.
On 22 September 2020, Tavares moved to Primeira Liga side, Moreirense on a loan deal until the end of the season.[1]
On 26 January 2021, Tavares loan with Moreirense was cut short and he returned to Benfica to play in Segunda Liga side Benfica B.[2]
On 29 June 2021, he signed a five-year contract with Famalicão.[3]
Personal life
Born in Portugal, Tavares is of Cape Verdean descent.[4]
