Dea Liane

Dea Liane, is a French actress active in theatre and cinema.[1] She is best known for the critics acclaimed role "Abeer" in the award winning Tunisian movie The Man Who Sold His Skin.[2][3][4][5]

Career

Before entering cinema, she is a stage actress and performed in many Shakespearean plays such as Anthony and Cleopatra.[6]

In 2019, she acted in the Tunisian film The Man Who Sold His Skin directed by Kaouther Ben Hania.[7] In the film, he played the main role "Abeer" along with Yahya Mahayni. Her role was highly praised by the critics and later screened at several international film festivals.[8][9] The film was selected as the Tunisian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards.[10][11] In March 2021, the film was nominated for the Best International Feature Film.[12] The film was premiered in the Horizons section at the 77th Venice International Film Festival as well.[13]
