Dobara (TV series)

Dobara (Urdu: دوبارہ‎, lit. 'Again') is a Pakistani television series produced by Momina Duraid under banner MD Productions, directed by Danish Nawaz and written by Sarwat Nazir. It first aired on 20 October 2021 on Hum TV. It features Hadiqa Kiani as Mehrunisa who gets a chance to change her life after the death of her husband Hidayatullah as he was dominated because of huge age gap between them.[1][2] It also features Bilal Abbas Khan, Usama Khan, Nabeel Zuberi and Sabeena Syed in pivotal roles.[3][4]

Plot

On the occasion of death of her husband Hidayatullah, Mehrunissa feels as a free spirit and recalls the bitter memories of her past when her father decided to marry her with Hidayatullah who is almost twice the age of her and she was married at the time when she loves to play tennis in her teenage. Everyone there notices the strange behaviour of Mehrunissa. On the other hand, Mahir is a next-door care free boy who is in the search of a job. His parents have been divorced and have remarried again. He goes to his mother's house and steals the money from his step-father's wallet.[5][6]

It led the rating charts for its 6th episode with 6.2 trps.[8]

Critically, the series received acclaim and received praise for storyline and performances especially for the performance of lead cast.[9][10][11]
