Echigo Oshiage Hisui Kaigan Station (えちご押上ひすい海岸駅, Echigo Oshiage Hisui Kaigan-eki) is a railway station in the city of Itoigawa, Niigata, Japan, operated by Echigo Tokimeki Railway.

Outline

Since Hokuriku Shinkansen was extended to Kanazawa Station, Hokuriku Main Line was transferred to public-private company, which is named Echigo Tokimeki Railway. After that, Niigata Prefecture and the railway company considered that install a new station[2] and they decided to install a new station which is tentatively named Oshiage Station because the railway company gets to cost-effectiveness by installing this station.[3] The company was allowed to install new station as "Oshiage Shineki" by MLIT in September 2019.[4] JRTT and the local government subsidized installing the new station.[5]

  • 2019:Permitted to install the new station which is tentatively named as Oshiage Shineki by Bureau of Hokuriku Transportation.[4][6]

    • On 14 March:Started constructing the new station[7]
    • On 10 June – on 10 July:Invited entries for a station name[8][9]
    • On 9 August:Determined a station name to Echigo Oshiage Hisui Kaigan Station.[8][10]
