Athletics

Fort Dorchester High School's mascot is the Patriot, and its colors are red, blue, and silver.

Fort Dorchester competes as a 5A school in Region 8. The other high schools in Region 8 are Stall (North Charleston), Summerville, Ashley Ridge (Summerville), and West Ashley (Charleston).

The Fort Dorchester football team won the 2015 5A State Championship.[2]
