"Freight Train Blues" is an American country blues song from the early 20th century.[1] It is usually attributed to John Lair[2] while sometimes the song is attributed to various others.[3] The song is about freight trains.

- Roy Acuff recorded this song in 1937.[5] It was released on the album, The Essential Roy Acuff.[6]
- Hank Williams recorded this song in 1950. It was released after Williams' death, in 1998, on The Complete Hank Williams.[7]
- Tennessee Ernie Ford recorded a pop and jazz version for his album, Gather 'Round.[8]
- Bob Dylan in 1962 included his version on his debut album, Bob Dylan. On the album, the song's authorship was credited to Mississippi Fred McDowell.[9]
