Gasselte
Gasselte is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Located in the municipality of Aa en Hunze, it is situated about 16 km (9.9 mi) east of Assen. In 2020, it had a population of 1,900.

History
Gasselte was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became a part of the newly-established municipality of Aa en Hunze.[1]
In 2001, the town of Gasselte had 1,081 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town, which was 0.49 km² (0.2 sq mi), contained 513 residences.[2] The statistical area of Gasselte, which also includes the surrounding countryside, had a population of 1,640 as of 2005.[3]
