Gunung Mas Regency

Gunung Mas Regency (Indonesian: Kabupaten Gunung Mas) is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. The town of Kuala Kurun is the capital of Gunung Mas Regency. The population of Gunung Mas Regency was 96,900 at the 2010 Census (an increase from 74,823 at the previous Census in 2000);[2] and 135,373 at the 2020 Census.[3] Gunung Mas Regency was formed in 2002 by splitting from Kapuas Regency.

Administrative Districts

At the 2010 Census the Gunung Mas Regency consisted of eleven districts (kecamatan), and a twelfth (Rungan Barat) was subsequently added. They are tabulated below with their areas and their population totals from the 2010 Census[4] and the 2020 Census.[5] The 2020 Census figures for each district are rounded to the nearest 100 people. The table also includes the number of administrative villages (rural desa and urban kelurahan) in each district, and its postal codes.
