Career and fate
Thais replaced HMS Zephyr at Falmouth, serving as a Post Office packet.
Thais sailed from Falmouth on 12 December 1833, bound for Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was last reported to have been off the south-west of Ireland. In March and April 1824 wreckage from Thais washed ashore at Galway, Ireland. It was presumed that Thais had foundered soon after her last sighting.[1]
