[1] Besides completing numerous mountaineering training and preparing for his climb to Mt.Everest, he also successfully finished a solo Ironman 70.3 distance triathlon during the pandemic in October 2020.[6][7]

Mountaineering Expeditions

Joshi climbed Stok Kangri (20,187 ft) in 2016 unsupported becoming the youngest Indian to climb it solo then.[8] On 4 October 2019, Joshi embarked on an expedition to Nepal. He was the only Indian on the expedition to Himlung Himal (7126m peak), an unexplored mountain in the remote Nar-Phu region of Nepal[9]

On 23 May 2021, Joshi completed his climb to Mt. Everest.[5][10] During his conquest, he battled the coronavirus and faced two cyclones.[4][11] The highlight of Harshvardhan’s odyssey to Mt. Everest was his awareness of climate change and his subsequent choices that supported sustainable development.[12][13] To carry forward this ideology, he associated with Project Chirag - Chirag Rural Development Foundation.[14][15]
