The Haval X Dog is an upcoming compact SUV to be produced by Chinese SUV manufacturer Haval, a marque of Great Wall Motors, starting 2022.

The Haval X Dog was first revealed as a concept at Auto Shanghai on April 21, 2021 in Shanghai, China.[1] Patents of the production model of the X Dog surfaced in August,[2] Images of the production X Dog surfaced in October when the SUV started arriving at Haval dealerships in China.[3]

A plug-in hybrid model of the X Dog will be released after the ICE variant is launched in early 2022.[3]

Specifications

Engine

Two engine options are available for the X Dog—a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder and a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder—outputting 170 and 230 horsepower respectively.[3][4]

Interior

The Haval X Dog was noted for its unconventional steering wheel featuring a touchscreen in the center. Another four other touchscreens are also within the interior; a center infotainment system, the digital instrument cluster, a climate control screen on the center console, and small screen on the dashboard for the passenger side.[3][4]
