The medical institution has its own campus spread over 20 acres (8.1 ha). Every year it admits 95 to 100 undergraduate students (85 seats—candidates qualifying the all India medical entrance exam, 15 seats for donation).

Hi-Tech Medical College is recognized by University Grants Commission and Medical Council of India.[1]

It is a self-financing medical college for MBBS degrees affiliated by Sambalpur University. Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar is a sister institute which is affiliated to Utkal University. Both these medical colleges run under the administration of Vigyan Bharati Charitable Trust.
