Hollywood Cowboys is the fourteenth studio album by the heavy metal band Quiet Riot. The album was released on Frontiers Records on November 8, 2019. It was produced by drummer Frankie Banali.[1] it was the last album to feature Banali before his death in 2020.

Background

Hollywood Cowboys is their last album with vocalist James Durbin who left the band in September 2019 and was replaced by previous vocalist Jizzy Pearl.[2][3] It is also their first album to be released since drummer Frankie Banali diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,[4] and the last album to feature him before his death in August 2020,[5] as well as the last to include bassist Chuck Wright before he was replaced by a returning Rudy Sarzo in 2021.[6]

Hollywood Cowboys received average reviews. Reviewer Aaron Badgley of Spill Magazine said ″band who knows what they do, and they do it well″ but the album overall was average and contained ″no mystery″ and is ″exactly what you would expect from Quiet Riot″.[8]
