Jordan Davis (American football)

Jordan X. Davis is an American football defensive tackle who currently plays for the Georgia Bulldogs. Davis won the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Outland Trophy in his senior season at Georgia.

Early life and high school

Davis grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and played basketball at Hopewell High School. As a junior, he transferred to Mallard Creek High School and joined the football team. He committed to play college football at Georgia over offers from Clemson, Florida, Miami (Florida) and North Carolina.[1][2]

College career

Davis played in 11 games with four starts as a true freshman, recording 25 tackles with 1.5 sacks and was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.[3][4][5] As a sophomore, he had 18 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.[6][7]
