Keilor Plains railway station

Keilor Plains railway station is located on the Sunbury line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the western Melbourne suburb of St Albans, and it opened on 27 January 2002.[1]

The station opened as part of the extension of the electrified network from St Albans to Sydenham.

Boom barriers were provided at the former Taylors Road level crossing, which was located at the Down end of the station, in 1986.[2] A rail-road roundabout was provided at the level crossing in 1994.[3] The level crossing was grade separated in 2008.[4]

Platforms and services

Keilor Plains has two side platforms. It is serviced by Metro Trains' Sunbury line services.[5]

It is planned to connect the Sunbury line to the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines, via the new Metro Tunnel, in late 2025.

CDC Melbourne operates two routes via Keilor Plains station, under contract to Public Transport Victoria:

  •  418 : St Albans station – Caroline Springs Square Shopping Centre[6]
  •  421 : St Albans station – Watergardens station[7]
