kitty (terminal emulator)
kitty is a free and open-source GPU-accelerated[2][3] terminal emulator focused on performance and features. kitty is written in a mix of C and Python programming languages, and it is one of few terminal emulators with GPU support along with Alacritty. Some says that kitty is faster than iTerm2 on macOS.[4] kitty shares its name with another program — KiTTY — a fork of PuTTY for Windows.[5][6]

It offers GPU-acceleration combined with a wide feature set. It’s targeted at power keyboard users. It’s billed as a modern, hackable, featureful, OpenGL based terminal emulator

Ever since I started doing more work in the terminal, it became painfully clear to me that the standard terminal.app on Mac and even iTerm2 (although an amazing product!) were not cutting it anymore for me in terms of speed
