Kosovo national under-19 football team results (2017–2019)

On 13 December 2016, in Nyon, it was decided that Kosovo should be part in Group 6 of the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification, together with Israel, Lithuania and Serbia, the latter was replaced by Austria for security reasons.[1] On 3 October 2017, Kosovo made his debut on UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifications with a 1–0 away defeat in against Austria.[2] Three days later, Kosovo won their first ever qualifying match for a major tournament by defeating Israel 2–1.[3] Again, after three days, Kosovo marks another victory against Lithuania, this victory provides Kosovo with the qualification for the next phase, namely the elite round.[4]

On 6 December 2017, in Nyon, it was decided that Kosovo should be part in Group 5 of the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round, together with Portugal, Republic of Ireland and Slovakia.[5] Before the start of elite round, Kosovo in January and February 2018 played five friendly matches with Azerbaijan which won with a minimum score of 1–0,[6] with Kazakhstan U17 which won with a deep score 4–0,[7] again with Azerbaijan which won with a minimum score of 1–0,[8] and twice with Bulgaria which lost the first match with a deep score 2–1,[9] and draw without goals in the second match.[10] One month later, Kosovo started the elite round against Portugal which defeated Kosovo with a score of 5–0 and this match is their worst result so far.,[11] Kosovo also played against Republic of Ireland which beat them 3–0,[12] and won the last match against Slovakia 2–0,[13] but this victory was not enough to secure Kosovo the qualification at 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

On 6 December 2017, in Nyon, it was decided that Kosovo should be part in Group 7 of the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification, together with Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.[5] Before the start of qualifications, Kosovo in May and August 2018 played four friendly matches, twice with Albania which lost the first match with a deep score 2–1,[14] and with the same score lost the second match,[15] also twice played with United Arab Emirates which draw without goals in the first match,[16] and lost with a minimum score 0–1 in the second match.[17] On 10 October 2018, Kosovo started the qualifications against Austria with which draw without goals,[18] three days later did the same against Hungary,[19] and after three days lost the last match against Slovenia 1–4.[20]

On 6 December 2018, in Nyon, it was decided that Kosovo should be part in Group 5 of the 2020 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification, together with Poland, Russia and Wales.[21] Before the start of qualifications, Kosovo in February and June 2019 played three friendly matches with Malta which won with a score of 0–3,[22] and twice with Albania which lost the first match with a score of 1–3,[23] and with a score of 1–4 lost the second match.[24]
