This is a list of tennis records and achievements that were obtained during the Open Era from 1968 onwards. Records are included from both male (ATP, Grand Prix and WCT) and female (WTA) professional tennis tours. To keep the list at a reasonable length, it includes only players who have been ranked world No. 1 or have won a Grand Slam title. men's women's

Michael Chang
- Youngest Grand Slam champion, winning French Open, at 17 years, 3 months old (1989).
- Youngest Grand Slam finalist, playing French Open final, at 17 years, 3 months old (1989).
- Youngest ever male player to be ranked ATP top-5, at 17 years, 5 months old (1989).
- Youngest ever male player to be ranked ATP top-5 at the end of the season, at 17 years, 10 months old (1989).
- Youngest ever male player to be ranked ATP top-10 at the end of the season, at 17 years, 10 months old (1989).
Lleyton Hewitt
- Youngest qualifier at the Australian Open at 15 years, 11 months old (1997).[1]
- Won the singles title in Adelaide in 1998 to become the youngest tour winner (16 years, 10 months old) since Michael Chang in 1988 and the lowest-ranked (550) winner in the history of the ATP tour.[1]
- Youngest male to win a Grand Slam tournament doubles title at 19 years, 6 months old (2000 US Open).[1]
- Youngest ever male player to be ranked World No. 1[2]
- Youngest male player to be the year-end World No. 1 at 20 years, 8 months old (2001).[1][3]

- The only male player to win a Grand Slam title as a wildcard. He achieved this at Wimbledon in 2001.
