Lucas Lykkegaard

Lucas Lykkegaard (born 5 April 2002) is a Danish-Chilean professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjælland.

Lykkegaard was born and raised in Farum and is a product of FC Nordsjælland, where he started when he was 5-6 years old.[1] In his first season as U-17 player, Lykkegaard was injured with a anterior cruciate ligament injury and was out for about a year and a half.

After 14 years at the club, Lykkegaard took the trip all the way from the youth rank s to the first team squad, where he got his professional debut in the Danish Superliga against FC Copenhagen on 13 December 2020.[2] Lykkegaard started on the bench, before replacing Daniel Svensson in the 78th minute.[3] Lykkegaard did also play in the following league game against FC Midtjylland. Those two games was his only professional appearances in the 2020-21 season.

Personal life

Lykkegaard has a Chilean mother and a Danish father.
