MV Utne

MV Utne is a ferry that was launched in 2014, has sailed for Norled since 2015. She was bought by Caledonian Maritime Assets for £9 million to provide a service between Oban on the Scottish mainland and Craignure on the Isle of Mull.[2][1] After being modified for her new role, she is expected to enter service in 2022.[2][3] The vessel is being sold by Norled because they are replacing their diesel-powered vessels with zero-emission battery-electric vessels. Choices of a new name for the vessel may be either Loch Frisa. Glen Frisa or Torosay. She will partner MV Isle of Mull replacing MV Coruisk as the second vessel on the Oban-Craignure route with Coruisk moving back to Mallaig with MV Loch fyne summer 2022.[3]
