Playing career

Previously a member of their academy, Young signed his first professional contract with Leyton Orient in May 2021.[1]

Young made his debut for Orient in the 3–0 defeat at Salford City on the last day of the 2020–21 season, as an 84th minute substitute for Hector Kyprianou.[2]

On 9 December 2021, Leyton Orient wished Young a happy 19th birthday, but evidently the club has poor record-keeping in relation to player birthdates, as it later rescinded its birthday wishes and stated that his birthday is, in fact, sometime in February.
