Mazda CX-50
The Mazda CX-50 is an upcoming compact crossover SUV to be produced by Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda for the North American market.[1] Based on the same transverse platform as the fourth-generation Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30, the vehicle will be sold alongside the slightly smaller CX-5.[2]

Overview
The Mazda CX-50 was officially revealed on November 15, 2021. A more rugged off-road-styled variant will also be available.[3] It will be produced at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA plant in Huntsville, Alabama, United States alongside the Toyota Corolla Cross starting 2022.[4]
Specifications
The Mazda CX-50 is powered by the 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G PY-VPS inline-four engine offered in its standard naturally-aspirated form, which produces 187 hp (139 kW; 190 PS) and 186 lb⋅ft (252 N⋅m; 26 kg⋅m) of torque, and a turbocharged variant that outputs 250 hp (186 kW; 253 PS) and 320 lb⋅ft (434 N⋅m; 44 kg⋅m) of torque. Mazda's i-Activ all-wheel drive technology and Intelligent Drive Select come standard in the CX-50.[4]
Later after its launch, the CX-50 will also be offered with hybrid options sourced from Toyota.[4][5]
