Premise
A young woman goes on a solo vacation in the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband.[1]
Production
On January 6, 2021 it was announced that Alex Garland will write and direct a film for A24, with Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear in talks to star.[1] Regarding additional casting, The Sunday Times reported Paapa Essiedu is rehearsing with Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear.[2]
In April 2021, following allegations of abuse, Scott Rudin was removed as a producer on the film.[3]
Principal photography began on March 19, 2021 and was expected to conclude on May 19, 2021, in the United Kingdom.[4][5][6] On May 22, 2021, cinematographer Rob Hardy announced on Instagram that filming had wrapped.[7]
