Murder a la Mod is a 1968 American film directed by Brian De Palma in his directional debut. The film was released in one cinema in New York City. It quickly disappeared not long after and was thought to be lost until April 2011, when the film was released by Criterion on Blu-ray as a bonus feature to Blow Out.[1]

It was the first film for which Brian De Palma served as both writer and director.
In De Palma's 1981 film Blow Out, Dennis Franz's character watches the film on television.
Plot synopsis
Karen is a naive young lady who wants to help her boyfriend Chris, who is a struggling amateur filmmaker, to raise money to divorce his wife. Meanwhile, a jolly psycho prankster named Otto is stalking the building where Chris is shooting a low-budget adult movie to make ends meet.
