Musa Sherif

Musa Sherif, (born 7 September 1971) is an Indian professional car rallying and seven-time INRC rally champion, co-driver born in Kumbla, a small town in Kasargod district.[1][2][3]

Career

Sherif got hooked on rallying in 1993 when he competed in the Mandovi rally at Mangalore.[3] He is the Limca Book of Records holder in 2011 for being the first person to navigate for and win three championship titles in a year (2009).[4] He has participated in 296 rallies including 67 International rallies and Indian National Rally Championship.[3]

  • Participated in 297 rallies, including 68 international rallies in 10 different countries as a navigator[3]
  • 7-time National championship winner. In the years, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020 (All time Record Holding achievement in India)[5]
  • Limca Book of Records winner in 2011[4]
  • Won 35 Indian National championship rounds (All time Record Holding achievement in India)[6]
  • Highest number of rally winner in India along with the driver, Gaurav Gill[7]
  • Over 200 podiums, and over 100 overall wins[5]
  • Won the Indian National SUV Championship title in 2013[8]
  • Asia-Pacific Rally Championship Winner[9]
