Company portfolio

Nishat Linen is a Pakistani apparel retailer based in Lahore, Pakistan, owned by Nishat Group. Nishat group is one of the leading and most diversified business groups in South Asia and has a presence in business sectors of textiles, cement, power generation, paper products, hospitality and development, and aviation. Nishat linen has an extensive product portfolio, i.e., in addition to mass-producing clothing both pret and unstitched, the retailer markets home linen and other fashion accessories such as footwear, bags, jewelry, and accessories. It is mainly a female consumer-centric brand, with limited yet good options for men and kids. Nishat Mills Limited is deemed as one of the most well-equipped, modern, and largest vertically integrated textiles companies in Pakistan. The company’s production facilities include spinning, weaving, processing, and power generation.

Nishat Linen proudly owns its indigenous identity with its tagline #FabricOfPakistan, producing culturally suitable attire that reflects global fashion but is locally adapted for the Pakistani consumer.

The fashion retailer is a proponent of slow fashion and inclusivity, with frequent marketing campaigns advocating the causes. The company's corporate headquarters is located at 21km Ferozepur Road, Lahore.

History and timeline

Nishat Linen was established in 1989 and the company started as a home linen business manufacturing bedding of export quality. However, since its inception in 1989, the company has expanded its footprint at the national and global level with around 100 stores in 43 cities in Pakistan and 14 stores in UAE. In 1990, Nishat linen got its first logo, designed to set a unique brand identity for itself.

It opened its first store in Gulberg, Lahore, in 1992 and became a household name in home textile. In 1992, it transitioned from a home textile business to a clothing one, setting itself on a retail platform and expanded through franchising on the national level. In 2005, the company decided to enter a new era of textile designing and delved into the retail sector by launching summer lawn under the name of Nisha and published their very first lookbook the same year.

In 2010, Nishat Linen started NL pret- a ready-to-wear collection owing to the widespread popularity of the unstitched fabric. The website www.nishatlinen.com was also set up the same year.

In 2011, Nishat linen expanded into UAE, with outlets being opened in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The company's first TV AD campaign also ran the same year. The menswear collection, named Naqsh, was also launched due to the immense popularity of textiles in the same year. In 2012, the company refurbished the Nishat Linen logo to give it a more minimalistic and modern feel.

The company celebrated 25 years of excellence in 2014 and is deemed one of the pioneers in transforming lawn into today's essential commodity, as we know now.
