Reception
The Hindu called it "a relevant film by Vikraman" but "The problem with it: the same old cliches of commercial cinema — the film was ridden with stereotypes, predictable incidents triggered by unidimensional screen villains."[3] New Strait Times wrote "Nothing much in this movie but a controversial idea".[4] The movie did not perform well in the box office. After this, director Vikraman again moved back to his usual style of movie making, targeting a family audience which gave him blockbusters.
