Raúl Fernández (motorcyclist)

Raúl Fernández González (born 23 October 2000) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, currently set to compete in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship with KTM Tech3. He is not related to Moto2 rider Augusto Fernández, but has a younger brother, Adrián, who is also a motorcycle racer.[1]

In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Fernández and the second or maternal family name is González.

Career

Early career

Fernández competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2015 and 2016.[2]

He was the 2018 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Champion.

MH6 Team (2016)

In the latter year he also made his Grand Prix debut at Valencia in the Moto3 class as the replacement for the injured María Herrera,[3] scoring championship points with an 11th place.
