Raghunath Behura

Raghunath Behura (born 17 October 1955) was an IPS Officer (32RR)[2][3] of 1979 batch IPS cadre of Manipur-Tripura.[2] He was the Additional director of the Intelligence Bureau. Behura died in a road mishap on 15 April 2012.[4][5][6]

Police career

Late Raghunath Behura served as a Police officer in Tripura in different capacities. Behura joined the Intelligence Bureau in 1985.[4]

Death

Raghunath Behura, on the way for an investigation with Additional Director General of Assam Police, Pallab Bhattacharyya, met an accident on 9 April 2012. In that accident, both Mr. Behura and Mr. Pallab Bhattacharyya were seriously injured and admitted in GNRC, Sixmile.

Mr. Behura's health deteriorated and was put under a ventilator, but he succumbed to his injuries on 15 April 2012.[7]
