Political career

Early beginnings

Lang joined the Green Party in 2012.[2] From 2017 until 2019, she served as chair of the Green Youth.

Since 2019, Lang has been part of the Green Party’s national leadership around co-chairs Annalena Baerbock and Robert Habeck.[3]

Lang was a candidate in the 2019 European Parliament election.

Member of the German Parliament, 2021–present

In the 2021 German federal election, Lang contested Backnang – Schwäbisch Gmünd, but missed the direct mandate. She entered the 20th German Bundestag via the state list.

In the negotiations to form a so-called traffic light coalition of the Social Democrats (SPD), the Green Party and the FDP following the 2021 federal elections, Lang led her party's delegation in the working group on equality; her co-chairs from the other parties were Petra Köpping and Herbert Mertin.[4]

In parliament, Lang has been serving on the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs since 2021.[5]

Personal life

Lang has been living in Berlin since 2014.[6]
