Ricky (2009 film)
Ricky is a 2009 French fantasy film directed by François Ozon about a human baby who develops a set of functional wings, and how the parents cope with the child's abnormality.

Plot
Katie (Alendra Lamy) lives with her daughter Lisa (Mélusine Mayance) in a welfare housing in eastern Paris.[1] Their family is disrupted when Katie falls in love with Paco (Sergi López), her Spanish co-worker in a cosmetics factory.[2] A baby is born after Paco moved in. The child, who they name Ricky (Arthur Peyret), becomes a source of anxiety and unwelcome surprise as he starts to become noisy and demanding.[3] To make matters worse, Ricky's shoulder blades begin growing wings. The baby also starts to fly. He becomes a public curiosity further throwing the family into disarray and fear for Ricky's safety. WHile Katie and Paco put a rope on Ricky so he won't fly away. They let go Ricky as Katie holding the rope and everyone are surprise to see Ricky flying. Every camera people were looking at Ricky happily including Katie, Paco, and Lisa. But for a while, Katie accidentally let go the rope which caused Ricky to fly away. Everyone and camera people are chasing Ricky and tried to get him but he kept flying. As they stop through the lake, Ricky flew away and never seen again. Everyone leave sadly as Katie was sad. The police reinforcement tried to look for Ricky but no luck. At the time, Paco was asleep but Katie could't. Katie was in deep Depression, Katie thought Ricky is dead and Paco said the same thing that he couldn't survive alone. Katie went to the walk all the way through the lake Ricky went as she was about to commit Suicide for guilt. As she was about too, she heard Ricky voice and his flapping wings. Katie was in deep shock as she saw Ricky flying on top of her. She want to see Ricky but he is avoiding her. Katie catch up with Ricky, and he stop flying and he stand up. Katie was glad Ricky is safe, he can stand up and his wings got bigger. But Ricky was upset with his mother, Katie know he felt upset. She tells him she doesn't want to lose him from days ago, Katie was happy and tell Ricky that he looks beautiful flying, and Ricky accept her forgiveness. With Katies final motherly love, Ricky was happy which made Katie to have a smile. Ricky flew away with a final goodbye, this is Ricky's last seen flying that he is free where he belong and never seen again.. Katie saw Ricky left forever. Katie return home and Paco and Lisa hug Katie as she looks up. Paco was taking Lisa to school as Katie is pregnant again but another child. Everything end with Lisa holding Paco on the motorcycle.
