Safety (EP)
Safety is the first EP and public release by the British rock band Coldplay. It was recorded over a weekend during May 1998 and intended to be a demo for record companies. Phil Harvey, the band's manager, financed the project for around £1500 and only about fifty copies made it to stores, as they gave most of them away to labels, friends and families.[2]

The songs on this EP have all appeared unaltered on subsequent releases by Coldplay. "Bigger Stronger" and "Such a Rush" are featured on The Blue Room EP, and "No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground" was a B-side on the single release of "Yellow".[3] The cover photo of lead singer Chris Martin was taken by John Hilton, a friend of the band.[4]
