Stardom Dream Queendom

Stardom Dream Queendom (スターダムドリームクイーンダム, Sutādamudorīmukuīndamu) is an upcoming professional wrestling event promoted by World Wonder Ring Stardom. It will take place on December 29, 2021, with a limited attendance due in part to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic at the time. The event will mark the last pay-per-view of 2021 hosted by the promotion.[1][2]

Storylines

The show will feature at least five professional wrestling matches that resulted from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.[3] On December 4, 2021, Konami announced she will be taking a hiatus from professional wrestling to attend her personal well being. Giulia immediately stepped up to challenge her for a match on December 29 which she accepted.[4]

The main event will see Utami Hayashishita defend the World of Stardom Championship against Syuri who won the 2021 Grand Prix to become the rightful challenger.[5] The latter defended the certificate three times before along with the SWA World Championship, first time against Saki Kashima at Stardom 10th Anniversary Grand Final Osaka Dream Cinderella on October 9,[6] second time at Kawasaki Super Wars on November 3 against AZM,[7] and against Konami at Tokyo Super Wars on November 27.
