Starobilsk Raion

Starobilsk Raion (Ukrainian: Старобільський район) is a raion (district) in Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. The administrative center of the district is the town of Starobilsk. Population: 126,010 (2021 est.)[1]

On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Luhansk Oblast was reduced to eight, of which only four were controlled by the government, and the area of Starobilsk Raion was significantly expanded. [2][3] The January 2020 estimate of the raion population was 42,693 (2020 est.)[4]
