Stephen McNally (musician)

Stephen Patrick "Ste" McNally (born 4 July 1978)[1] is an English singer and songwriter, best known for his work with BBMak 10 Reasons to Live and The Last Arcade.

Biography

McNally began playing guitar in 1990 and had occasional lessons from Cast lead guitars Liam Tyson, He then formed his first band The Mist with some high school friends and started writing songs.

From 1996 to 2003, McNally was a singer and lead guitarist of English pop/rock band BBMak, along with Mark Barry and Christian Burns. Together they sold over three million albums worldwide and had a string of hit singles. Their biggest was "Back Here" which was #1 in the US and across Asia.

In 2003 after BBMAK split McNally began writing songs for a solo album with Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) Karl Wallinger (World Party) Tony & Chris Griffiths (The real People)

In 2004 McNally began recording a solo album in France with record producer James Sanger (Keane/Dido) & drummer Ash Soan (Adele/Bryan Adams) but abandoned the project later that year.

In 2006 McNally formed covers band Groove Nation with friend and Broadway (Riverdance) Drummer Darren Andrews to get back to the roots of playing music for the love of it.

also that year McNally was contacted by former manager Diane Young about potentially becoming a vocalist with the band Mike & the Mechanics alongside Mike Rutherford (Genesis) & Andrew Roachford (Roachford)

In 2007, McNally entered the fourth series of The X Factor (UK).

In 2009, McNally became the lead singer for the band 10 Reasons to Live.[2]

In 2011 McNally met Wigan musician Rik Jones and become a co-writing partner for all his albums.

In 2015 McNally became a Vocal/Guitar coach to Jake McKechnie (2017 Voice Kids Finalist & favourite to win)

In 2018, BBMak officially reformed to work on a new album and tour.

In 2020 Mcnally formed the band The Last Arcade with his writing and producing partners Paul Garrett & Steve Erickson,
