Swan Song is an upcoming American science fiction drama film written and directed by Benjamin Cleary and produced by Mahershala Ali, Rebecca Bourke and Jonathan King. Set in the near future, Ali portrays a husband and father who is diagnosed with terminal illness but is given a new solution: replace himself with a clone.

Cast

Production

It was announced in February 2020 that Apple TV+ had acquired the rights to the film, which would be written and directed by Benjamin Cleary, and starring Mahershala Ali.[1] In September, Naomie Harris was added to the cast.[2] In November, Awkwafina and Glenn Close joined the cast of the film.[3][4] Adam Beach revealed he was added to the cast in December.[5]

Principal photography began on November 9, 2020, in Vancouver, Canada.[6][7] Filming concluded on February 6, 2021.[8]

Release

It is scheduled to be released on December 17, 2021.[9]
