The News Forum

The News Forum is a Canadian English language television news channel owned by The News Forum Inc. The founder, Tore Stautland, also serves as CEO of Trillennium Media Group.[1][2] The News Forum is a Canadian broadcast station with a mandate to provide viewers with politically balanced domestic and international perspectives, intended to be a counterbalance to the prevailing media landscape.[3]

The channel launched with a three-month free preview on all Bell Canada-owned TV service providers on August 27, 2020.[4] However, its presence went unnoticed by most Canadian media outlets until a trailer and press release[5] announcing its launch was released on September 29.[1][6]

On-air hosts for the channel include writer and journalist, Nima Rajan, nonprofit litigation director, Christine Van Geyn, former federal and provincial cabinet minister Tony Clement, Niagara area lawyer, K.R. Davidson, Member of Parliament, Dean Allison, former Ontario PC leadership candidate Tanya Granic Allen, former politician and journalist, Danielle Smith, nonprofit founder and business owner, Jocelyn Bamford, lawyer and Director of MLI's Domestic Policy Program, Aaron Wudrick, and former senior BNN Bloomberg Business anchor, Catherine Murray.

Programming

The News Forum launched with 6 in-house produced programs. Forum Daily News and Forum Headlines are the station’s daily flagship news. Commentary programs on the station are Boom and Bust, Counterpoint, Canadian Justice, Canadian Innovators, The Hill Update, and Our Nation Today. In 2021, new programs Strictly Money, The Buck Stops Here, Our Canada Our Future, Canadian Innovators, and The Danielle Smith Report were added.

Distribution

The News Forum is broadcast across Canada on Bell, Rogers, Telus, SaskTel, Access and Telmax channels.
