The Vampire Dies in No Time (Japanese: 吸血鬼すぐ死ぬ, Hepburn: Kyūketsuki Sugu Shinu) is a Japanese manga series by Itaru Bonnoki. It has been serialized in Akita Shoten's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion since June 2015 and has been collected in eighteen tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Madhouse premiered in October 2021.

Story

The famed vampire hunter Ronaldo has received a job to infiltrate the mansion owned by Draluc, who claims he is the most invincible vampire. Ronaldo hears Draluc has kidnapped a kid. However, the rumors about Draluc are not true. After Ronaldo finally confronts Draluc, Draluc turns into sand. This makes Ronaldo realize that Draluc is the weakest vampire and the kid was not really kidnapped by him. The kid came into his mansion for the purpose of making it his "personal playground". Draluc's mansion completely explodes thanks to Ronaldo's recklessness, who decides to bring Draluc to his place. The story follows Ronaldo and Draluc's daily lives and the comic action alongside their allies.

Anime

An anime adaptation was announced in the 23rd issue of Weekly Shōnen Champion on May 7, 2020.[1] The adaptation, revealed to be a television series, is animated by Madhouse and directed by Hiroshi Kōjina, with Yukie Sugawara overseeing the series' scripts, Mayuko Nakano designing the characters, and Ryō Takahashi composing the music. The series premiered on October 4, 2021 on Tokyo MX, BS11, tvk, KBS Kyoto, and SUN.[2][27][5] Jun Fukuyama performed the series' opening theme song "DIES IN NO TIME", while Daisuke Ono and Takayuki Kondō, performing as TRD, performed the series' ending theme song "Strangers".[28][29] Funimation licensed the series outside of Asia.[30]
