Ulytau District
Ulytau District (Kazakh: Ұлытау ауданы, Ulytaý aýdany) is a district of Karaganda Region in central Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the Auyl of Ulytau.[2] Population: 13,909 (2013 estimate);[1] 14,240 (2009 Census results);[3] 20,430 (1999 Census results).[3]

In October 2021, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid a working visit to the Karaganda Region. During his visit, he made a stop at the Zhoshy Khan historical and cultural complex in Ulytau District - a center that is a tourist destination that highlights ancient Kazakh culture and history. [4]
