Valor Christian High School is a private, Christian high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, United States. The school colors are Navy blue, Columbia blue, and white, and their nickname are the Eagles. Valor has four major focuses: Academics[4], Arts[5], Athletics[6], and Discovery (missionary outreach)[7].

Athletics

The school is renowned for its athletics, especially football.[8] Valor Christian has won 8 Colorado state championships in football.[9] In 2021, Valor football finished runner-up after losing the state championship game 21-0 to rival Cherry Creek High School (after having been undefeated).[10] NFL Running back Christian McCaffery and Canadian soccer player Janine Beckie attended Valor Christian.

Allegations

In August 2021, the school was accused of forcing the resignations of two gay coaches based on their sexual orientation.[11][12] Valor officials issued a statement stating that "they require staff, faculty and volunteer leaders to agree with Valor’s Christian beliefs set forth in the school’s statement of belief and to live in accordance with it."[11]
