The owner is Southern Belle LLC, which also owns WBHV, WFEQ and WZWW.
The current lineup is The Real Deal Bob Steele 6-10am, Roni Lynn 10am-2pm, Roger Corey 2-7pm and Kaptain Kranch 7-Midnight.
On June 28, 2019, WOWY began simulcasting on WHUN 1150 AM and WHUN-FM 103.5 Huntingdon and W249DD 97.7 FM Huntingdon and rebranded as "97.1 97.7 103.5 WOWY".[1]
On August 24, 2021 WOWY and WHUN-AM/FM completed its evolution from 60s-70s oldies to 70s-80s classic hits.[2]
