West Indies under-19 cricket team
The West Indian Under-19 cricket team have been playing official Under-19 test matches since 1973. Future international players to have represented the team include Brian Lara, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Courtney Walsh. They have played 35 matches, with their last match against England at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, 28 August 2001. Their win/loss record is 13/5.[1]

The West Indies under-19 cricket team won their first ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2016 defeating India by 5 wickets.[2]

During the group stage fixtures, Raymond Perez was injured, ruled out of the tournament and replaced by Brad Barnes. They also lost Shimron Hetmyer who captained the team in the 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and Nicholas Pooran after they were picked for the West Indies cricket team >"Barnes replaces injured Perez in West Indies ICC U19 CWC squad".
