Pre-season and friendlies

Scottish League Cup

On 25 July, Celtic were drawn to face Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park in the second round of the 2021–22 Scottish League Cup.[3] Goals from Odsonne Édouard, Stephen Welsh and Kyogo Furuhashi sealed Celtic's place in the quarter-finals. On 15 August, Celtic were drawn to face Raith Rovers at Celtic Park in the quarter-finals.[4] The Bhoys progressed to the semi-finals following a 3–0 victory over the Championship side. On 23 September, Celtic were drawn to face St Johnstone in the semi-finals.[5]
