Club career
On 30 August 2021, he joined Portimonense in Portugal's top-tier Primeira Liga on a season-long loan with an option to buy.[1]
International career
On 14 May 2021 Super eagles head coach Gernot Rohr included Marcus in his 31-man list for friendlies in June. He debuted with Nigeria in a 1–0 loss to Cameroon on 4 June 2021.[2]

Marcus got his first call up to the Nigerian national team on the 14 of may 2021 after the Gernot Rohr included Moffi in his 31-man list to face the indomitable Lions of Cameron in a friendly match stated for June 4 in Austria
