Ayub Khan (actor)

Ayub Khan (born 23 February 1969) is an Indian film and television actor. He made his screen debut with a commercial feature film Mashooq (1992). He is the son of Nasir Khan and Begum Para, as well as nephew of late veteran actor Dilip Kumar. He gained recognition playing Jogi Thakur in Uttaran and became more popular by portraying Rajnath Goenka in Ek Hasina Thi and Maninder Singh in Shakti.[1] Apart from television, he featured in more than twenty movies. He also played an important role in Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai (2001).

Personal life

Khan was born into the Hindko speaking Awan tribe to former 1950s actress Begum Para and actor Nasir Khan.[2]

Khan was married to Niharika Bhasin, in 2000 [3] known for films like Rock On!! (2008) and The Dirty Picture (2011). They met while in college. When Niharika left for the US for her studies, they married other people. After 11 years they divorced and married each other.[4][5]
